1. Overview

LinkedInPowerMsg ("the Extension") is a Chrome browser extension developed by ScouterZero. This Privacy Policy explains what data the Extension collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data. We are committed to a "Local-First" approach to privacy.

By installing and using the Extension, you agree to the terms described in this policy.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect (Local-First Privacy)

The core functionality of LinkedInPowerMsg operates entirely on your device. The following data is never transmitted to any external server during normal use:

LinkedIn Content: Your message content, profile information, connections, or activity.
User Assets: Your saved message snippets, labels, shortcut keys, and file attachments.
Browsing History: We do not track your activity on any website outside of LinkedIn.

All snippets and attachments are stored locally using chrome.storage.local and never leave your browser.

3. Data We Collect — Waitlist Sign-Up (Optional)

To help us transition to a sustainable model, the Extension includes a usage limit. When you voluntarily join the early-access waitlist (displayed after reaching the usage limit), the following information is collected:

Feedback Text	Optional; used to improve product features and user experience.
Submission Metadata	Timestamp and consent flag to manage waitlist order and compliance.

Data Transmission & Disclosure

When you explicitly click "Join Waitlist," your data is sent via an HTTPS POST request to a Google Apps Script endpoint. This data is stored in a private Google Sheet accessible only to the ScouterZero development team.

Note: The Extension will never collect your email address automatically. It requires your active input and submission.

4. Third-Party Services

We use Google Apps Script (Google LLC) to process waitlist submissions. No other third-party analytics, advertising networks, or tracking tools are used.

6. Permissions Justification

In compliance with the Chrome Web Store's "Minimum Permission" policy, we use:

storage & unlimitedStorage: To save your templates and large base64-encoded attachments locally on your machine.
host_permissions (script.google.com): Specifically to allow the optional waitlist form to reach our database.
linkedin.com: The content script runs only on LinkedIn to provide messaging shortcuts.

7. Your Rights & Data Deletion

You have the right to access or delete any personal information we hold.

To delete local data: Simply uninstall the extension or clear your browser storage.
To delete waitlist data: If you provided your email and wish to be removed from our records, please contact us.

9. Children's Privacy
